The crisp sound of frozen ground as you walk, deep breaths of fresh, crisp air, and views shimmering in daylight—a good winter walk is a genuine joy. We’re eager to hear about your preferred walking spots at this time of year throughout Britain. Perhaps a brisk coastal path, a twisting woodland trek, or a peaceful riverside trail. Should there be a welcoming cafe along the way, so much the nicer!

In case you’ve taken an appropriate image, you’re welcome to submit it—but it’s your words that are the focus for the challenge.
